Giroud leads Milan to turn the tables on Inter and ignite the Calcio

Milan turned the table on its rival Inter, to snatch a difficult victory (2-1), at San Siro Stadium, on Saturday evening, in the framework of the 24th round of the Italian League.

Ivan Perisic scored the first goal for Inter in the 39th minute, while French striker Olivier Giroud scored the Rossoneri goals in the 75th and 79th minutes.

Inter froze at 53 points, but remained in the lead, while Milan raised its score to 52 points in second place, with a game postponed for the Nerazzurri.

The start was for Inter, when Perisic was sent across, Dumfries rose over Theo and headed it into the net, but the referee canceled it for offending Perisic.

Inter almost scored the first goal after the ball reached Brozovic to launch a powerful shot that hit the shoulder of defender Kalulu and changed its direction, but Milan goalkeeper Magnan narrowly missed it.

Inter continued their strong attack on Milan, and Laotaro passed the ball to Barilla inside the area, so the latter fired a missile shot, but it passed next to the right post of goalkeeper Magnan.

Dumfries missed the opportunity to achieve a goal after a pass from Laotaro reached Dumfries to be unique in the goal and fired a powerful shot, but Magnan continued his brilliance and successfully tackled it.

Milan’s first attempt came after a missile shot from Tonali from outside the area, which Handanovic saved to bounce back to Theo, who played a ball that Liao shot to pass next to the post.

The ball reached Laotaro, who fired a shot that Magnan left for a corner, from which Inter managed to score the first goal after it was executed inside the area, to be met by Perisic with a direct shot into the net.

Milan midfielder Tonali almost equalized for his team at the beginning of the second half after he fired a powerful shot from outside the area, but his ball passed next to Handanovic’s left post.

Olivier Giroud scored the equalizer for Milan after a weak shot from Ibrahim Diaz passed in front of the defense and as it passed Giroud managed to convert it with a shot into the net.

Inter got a free kick from the left, which was executed by Calhangulu with a direct shot towards the goal, but goalkeeper Magnan continued his brilliance and kept it away from his goal.

Milan turned the tables on Inter with a second goal from Giroud when he received the pass from Calabria, to hit a ground ball that Handanovic failed to clear to touch his hand and into the net.

In the (90 + 5) minute, Milan left-back Theo Hernandez received a direct red card after a violent intervention at Dumfries’ feet, then the referee whistled with Milan’s victory (2-1).
