Fiorentina ousts Atalanta from the Italian Cup

Fiorentina qualified for the Italian Cup semi-finals, by beating Atalanta (2-3) in the quarter-finals, today, Thursday.

Viola opened the scoring in the 9th minute, through Krzysztof Piatek from a penalty kick, then Davy Zappacosta equalized in the 30th minute.

Jeremy Brugga boosted Atalanta’s lead in the 56th minute before Piatek equalized the score for Viola in the 71st minute.

And Al-Viola played incomplete from the 79th minute after Lucas Martinez was sent off with a second yellow card, but he managed to score the victory through Nikola Milenkovic, in the last moments (90 + 3).

In the semi-final scheduled for March 2, Al-Viola is awaiting the winner of the Juventus-Sassuolo match, which will take place later in the night.

The other semi-final is between Inter and Milan.
