Real Madrid end Betis ‘ perfect start with win in La Liga
In a 2-1 victory over Real Betis on Saturday,
Vincius Jnior and Rodrygo scored to help Real Madrid snap Real Betis’ unbeaten start to the Spanish league.
The young Brazilian attackers played a key role in Madrid’s record-breaking 14th European Cup victory last season,
and they once again made the difference in a matchup between the top two Spanish teams in the first month.
Madrid extended its lead in the standings after winning all four of its contests. Betis,
who had won all three of its games,
fell three points short of first position. Before visiting Sevilla later, Barcelona was in third position and five points behind.
On Saturday, Vinicius put on another brilliant performance for Real Madrid,
proving that he can make a significant difference whenever he enters the field.
With a well-taken goal against Real Betis,
the 22-year-old gave Los Blancos the lead,
showcasing his steadier play.
Thankfully for Carlo Ancelotti,
Rodrygo impressed as well by scoring off the bench, while Aurelien Tchouameni looked settled in the middle of the park.

winning twice, drawing once, and not giving up a goal there.
In the ninth minute,
Vinicius ended that strange scoring drought against the Seville-based team when he raced onto a long pass from David Alaba that let him free of Betis’ thick defence. He finished the move by chipping the ball over goalkeeper Rui Silva.
