Granit Xhaka save Arsenal from falling

Granit Xhaka yelled at Bukayo Saka in the opening seconds of Arsenal’s Europa League match against PSV and prevents Arsenal versus PSV from falling.

After defeating its guest Eindhoven with a clear goal on Thursday night in the opening

group match, Arsenal advanced to the second round of the European League.


Arsenal now has 12 points from 4 games, 5 points ahead of PSV Eindhoven, and needs just

one point from its next two games to guarantee a spot in the second round. Granit Xhaka

scored the game’s lone goal in the 70th minute.

The 4-2-3-1 formation was used by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who positioned Gabriel

Magalhaes and Rob Holding in the depth of the defense, with Takehiro Tomiaso and Kieran

Tierney providing support, and Albert Sambi Lokonga working with Granit Xhaka in the

midfield. Bukayo Saka, Fabio Vieira, and Eddie Nketiah were positioned behind Brazilian

striker Gabriel Jesus.


Moreover, the 4-2-3-1 formation was used by Eindhoven coach Ruud van Nistelrooy at the other end,

with the back line consisting of Philip Moeny, Andre Ramalho, Armando Obispo, and Philip

that was far from the goal as Arsenal attempted to maintain control of the situation.
In the eleventh minute, Nketiah steered Saka’s right-side cross toward Tierney, who shot over the goal. A minute later, Xhaka tried his luck with a shot that was well beyond of PSV’s goal.
In the 20th minute, Xhaka and Nketiah traded possession of the ball before sending it to the unmarked Jesus, who fired away. In the 27th minute, Xavi broke through the Arsenal defense and fired a shot into the bleachers.

The greatest opportunity for Arsenal came in the 61st minute when he avoided Jesus From in front of him to strike a creeping ball that Benitez managed to deflect to Nketiah, whose shot headed into the stands.
In the 67th minute, Nikita lost his left-side sergeant and missed with his left before Martin Odegar and Thomas Partey replaced Vieira and Lokunga in the Arsenal lineup.
When Xhaka received a cross from the right side inside the penalty area in the 70th minute, he immediately followed it with a fast shot to the right of the goalie. This was the final goal for Arsenal.

After the goal, Sata slipped past the Aix defenders and struck a poor shot that the goalie parried. Ben White and Gabriel Martinelli immediately joined the Arsenal squad in place of Tomiasso and Jesus.
Odegaard, Nketiah, and Xhaka all contributed to a notable aesthetic beauty that led to the ball reaching Martinelli, who stopped Benitez’s left-footed shot in the 79th minute.
After deciding to shoot in the 83rd minute rather than pass to an unoccupied Martinelli, Saka wasted a new opportunity before leaving the field and entering the goal area. Reiss Nelson has taken his spot.
