The Argentine was key to his team’s triumph, with an assist on the first goal and a forced conceded goal for his team’s third. He played practically the entire game, did not present any discomfort and was replaced by Joaquín Correa towards the end of the match.

In what was the last function of Lautaro Martínez and Joaquín Correa before joining the Argentine National Team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Inter was left with a deserved but suffered victory against Atalanta 3-2 in which the Bull was vital.
The Argentine striker started and played practically the entire game, being replaced by Correa 38 minutes into the second half. During his time on the pitch, the former Racing player was key, having assisted Edin Dzeko in his team’s first goal and combing a ball that José Luis Palomino sent into his own goal for the third.
Correa, for his part, barely added just over five minutes of play and was at least able to say goodbye to his team on the field of play before leaving for Abu Dhabi to join the Argentine national team. For Lionel Scaloni, then, the good news is that both players finished their participation without physical problems and will join the Albiceleste’s training sessions for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
