First Half for Barca
Lionel Messi scored the game’s first goal with a crisp volley into the bottom corner halfway through the first half.
Pedri finished off a smooth pass involving Messi and Ousmane Dembélé to make it 2-0.
Early in the second half, however, the hosts equalized when Gonzalo Melero met José Luis Morales’ cross with a strong header past Marc-André ter Stegen.
Levante shocked Barça with an equalizer as scorer turned provider when Morales drilled a shot into the far corner just two minutes later.
When Antoine Griezmann’s turn on the edge of the box rolled into Dembélé’s lane, the Frenchman rifled an effort into the top corner to put Barça back in front, 3-2.
Second Half for Levante
But the action didn’t end there, as Sergio Leon scored at Ter Stegen’s close post in the dying minutes to tie the game at 3-3.
After 36 games, Ronald Koeman’s side is in second place with 76 points. Atlético Madrid (77 points), Real Madrid (75), and Sevilla (71) are all tied for first place with one game remaining.
Meanwhile, Levante has advanced to the 13th round.
Barcelona traveled to Valencia to play Levante after a soulless game at Camp Nou on Saturday. The visitors were afraid, and the game ended in a tie. Sergi Roberto, who came on in the second half to replace an injured Ronald Araujo, had a terrible first half and nearly cost his team the game.
