Bayer Leverkusen largely defeated by Bayern

This Friday night in front of their home crowd, Bayern handily defeated Bayer Leverkusen (4-0), in large part due to Jamal Musiala, who put up an excellent display.

Bayern Munich – Bayer Leverkusen played on 30/09/2022

Normally, a match between two Bundesliga teams like Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen

(4-0) would take place. Both teams were under a lot of pressure after starting the season in

fifth and fifteenth place, respectively. The players of Julian Nagelsmann gave a true recital,

especially in the opening frame, against a Rhine formation that had only experienced the

joys of a Championship victory once this season. This was the first time this had happened

since the 2001-2002 campaign.

Due to the absence of Kingsley Coman (right thigh strain) and Lucas Hernandez (adductor

injury), Munich club technician Jamal Musiala started on the left side of the field in a 4-2-3-1

game pattern. The latter played a wonderful part, proving that he is now the best Bavarian

with a goal and two assists. Sadio Mané closed this month of September on a bright note

with a goal full of poise (39th), which should restore his confidence in light of the upcoming

deadlines. He had gone since August 31 without scoring or making a pivotal pass in any

tournament.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern: Mane breaks his jinx with Bayern after 6 lean matches

Sadio Mane, a Senegalese, broke his Bayern Munich curse, which has followed him in recent games despite his stellar start with the team this season.
Prior to his scoring machine failing in the final four rounds of the German League, the Senegalese international managed to score just three goals in the first three rounds of his tenure with the Bavarian squad.

Mane failed to score a goal in either of the first two rounds of the group stage in both the Champions League and the Bundesliga.
Mane snapped his scoring drought after six games, including one in the German Cup, during the match against Bayer Leverkusen, which is currently in the eighth round.
In the 39th minute, the ex-Liverpool star used a creeping ground shot from the edge of the penalty area to score his team’s third goal against Leverkusen.
