Haller acknowledged his uncertainty regarding his comeback to football but stated, “I am

good,” in an interview with the European Football Association’s (UEFA) official website.


“I spend 5 straight days in the hospital, where I always lie in bed and am unable to get up,

before going on a two-week respite,” he continued.


I have to perform this cycle four times because the chemotherapy involves four phases, each

lasting about three weeks, he explained.

The Ivorian international said that depending on how far the cancer had progressed and

spread throughout his body, he might have surgery later.


Haller emphasized that he was unsure of his return date but added: “I have a timeline in

mind, and if I’m lucky enough to avoid surgery, it will be a speedy return.”
