From that kick, Silva rose to a cross, shooting a header that went over the crossbar, and the first half ended in a goalless draw.

Palmeiras woke up after scoring the equalizer and searched for a second goal with a ground shot from Vega in the 71st minute, which went easy in the hands of Mendy.

Pulisic missed a real chance to score, after receiving a pass from Lukaku while completely free of censorship, to hit a ground ball that passed a little next to the post.

Kovacic followed a ball away from Palmeiras’ defense, hitting the bird on the edge of the area, and it went over the crossbar, ending the second half (1-1).

American Christian Pulisic followed a cross-legged cross into the penalty area in the 99th minute, hitting a direct ball that hit the post.
