Liverpool continues its recovery with a hat-trick against Aston Villa

Liverpool achieved a valuable victory at the expense of its host, Aston Villa, with a score (3-1), this evening, Monday, at Villa Park, in the 17th round of the English Premier League.

The Liverpool hat-trick was scored by Mohamed Salah (5), Virgil van Dyck (37), and Stefan Baetic (81), while Ollie Watkins scored the only goal for Aston Villa (59).

With that result, Liverpool, who achieved its third consecutive victory in the Premier League, raised its score to 25 points in sixth place, while Aston Villa’s balance froze at 18 points in 12th place.

The first attempt in the match came in favor of Aston Villa in the first minute, after Watkins received a through ball inside the area, hitting a weak ball that was caught by Alisson.

Liverpool added the second goal in the 37th minute, after Salah paved the ball to Van Dyck inside the area, so the Dutchman fired a direct ball that hit the net.

And Liverpool got a foul in the second minute of stoppage time, which Arnold crossed towards Nunez, who was free of control, who in turn hit a direct ball that Olsen saved, so that the first half ended with Liverpool advancing with two goals without a response.

And Aston Villa started the second half strongly. After Watkins’ goal was canceled for offside, McGinn received an unmarked cross inside the area in the 48th minute, hitting a weak header that Allison caught easily.

Buendia followed him in the 49th minute, with a ground cross follower inside the area, hitting a powerful ball directly that passed next to the post.

Liverpool almost killed the match in the 75th minute, after Salah sent a magic through to Nunez, who kicked off from the midfield and singled out Olsen, hitting a ball from inside the area, which passed next to the post.

Liverpool fired a coup de grace at Aston Villa in the 81st minute, after Nunez sent a cross from the left side, Olsen pushed it away, and substitute Betic followed it up by dodging the goalkeeper and Kunsa, before hitting the net.

Nunez tried to write his name after that in the list of scorers, with a ground kick from the border of the area in the 82nd minute, Olsen blocked it, and the match ended with Liverpool winning (3-1).
