Liverpool honors Leicester hospitality with a Jota double
Liverpool beat its guest Leicester City, with two goals without a response, Thursday evening, at Anfield, in the framework of the 24th round of the English Premier League.
Liverpool’s double, Diogo Jota scored in the 34th and 87th minutes.
Liverpool raised its score to 51 points in the Premier League, while Leicester’s balance froze at 26 points in 12th place.

The first attempt in favor of Liverpool came in the sixth minute, after Firmino rose to a cross from a foul by Arnold, and hit a header that went over the crossbar.
Leicester almost opened the scoring in the eighth minute through Madison’s foot, and hit a powerful ball, goalkeeper Alison starred in a corner kick.
Liverpool returned to form the danger again in the 19th minute, with a powerful shot from Arnold from inside the area, Schmeichel excelled in addressing it.
Liverpool managed to open the scoring in the 34th minute, after Van Dijk followed a cross from a corner by Arnold, and hit a header that Schmeichel saved, and paved the way for Jota, who shot directly into the net.
Liverpool tried to add the second goal in the 41st minute, through a scissor shot by Thiago on the edge of the penalty area, but the ball passed next to the post.
Firmino followed him with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area in the 42nd minute, which goalkeeper Schmeichel caught.
Firmino exchanged the ball with Jota, and the Brazilian hit a powerful ball, which Schmeichel saved, ending the first half with Liverpool leading with a goal.
Liverpool started the second half strongly, through Jota’s shot from inside the penalty area in the 48th minute, Schmeichel left it for a corner kick.
Madison responded with a shot from the edge of the area in the 52nd minute, which passed away from the goal.
