Liverpool!!! one foot ahead in the Champions League final.

Liverpool!!! advanced to the Champions League final after scoring two goals without reply against Villarreal in the first leg of the semi-final round at Anfield stadium on Wednesday evening.

Pervis Estopinan scored an own goal in the 53rd minute, and Sadio Mane added the second goal for Liverpool (55).
The first effort of the game went in Liverpool’s favor in the 12th minute, when Salah sent a cross to
Mane, who was free of censorship inside the area, and the Senegalese header went just beyond the post.
In the 14th minute, Diaz followed up with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area,
Which Rowley twice saved.

As Thiago‘s attempt from outside the penalty area was saved by Rowley in the 16th minute as Liverpool maintained their march towards Villarreal.

Salah made his first appearance in the 26th minute, with an arching shot from the right side

of the penalty area that flew over the crossbar, while Diaz made his second appearance in

the 31st minute, with a strong effort from the perimeter of the penalty area that Rowley saved.

Mane hit a tremendous ball from the edge of the area that hit Albiol’s foot and just passed

by the post in the 33rd minute, almost giving Liverpool the lead.

Then, in the 35th minute, Arnold crossed from the right side, followed by Salah’s shot on the bird from inside the area, which went over the crossbar.

Villarreal’s first attempt came in the 36th minute, when Parejo placed Pea inside the area,

and Lo Celso followed with a shot on the bird that went wide of the goal.

Thiago shot a missile from outside the penalty area in the 42nd minute, hitting with the post and going out for a goal kick, concluding the first half goalless.

As soon as, Diaz followed Arnold’s cross in the 53rd minute, striking a weak header that Rowley easily caught.

After a mistake by Rowley, Liverpool scored in the 54th minute when Henderson fired a

cross from the right side that hit Estopenan’s foot, and the goalie made a mistake in removing it, allowing it to reach the net.

55th minute, Liverpool added a second goal when Salah played a magical ball to Mane,

who singled out Broly and fired a ground ball into the net.

In the 68th minute, a strong shot from Mane stopped by Roli,

who was then followed by Diaz with a ground shot from within the area that just went past the post.

Finally, In the 78th minute, Diaz broke into the left side of the penalty area and struck a ground ball far from the goal, ending the match with Liverpool leading by two goals.
