Manchester United Secures Third Place in Premier League with Victory Over Everton

Pickford shone again in blocking an attempt from Rashford, after another perfect pass from Fernandez in the 29th minute. Manchester United finally managed to open the scoring in the 36th minute, following a clever pass from Sancho to McTominay, who shot into the narrow corner of the goal.

Martial replaced Anthony in the 60th minute, and Sabitzer raised a cross, which Fernandez followed with a powerful header, blocked by Pickford in the 67th minute. Martial scored Manchester United’s second goal in the 71st minute when Rashford passed the ball to him, and he easily put it into the goal.

The remaining minutes passed calmly, and Rashford left the stadium amid doubts about his injury, replaced by Foote Fighurst. Fernandez hit the goalkeeper’s standing position, and the match ended with Manchester United’s victory over Everton. Manchester United secured third place in the league table with 56 points, on goal difference against Newcastle, while Everton remained in 16th place with 27 points.
