UEFA has imposed disciplinary sanctions for the security breach in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley. fans clashed with butlers and police officers as they attempted to break into the gates of Sunday’s exhibition event.
Football Association Chief Executive Mark Bringham apologized to legitimate fans and said the security team “had never seen anything like this.”
England lost to Italy on penalties after 1-1 points in extra time.
The Football Association has been charged with four counts of fan behavior, refers to the riots, occupation of the stadium, the throwing of objects by fans and the display of fireworks during the national anthem.
