Serbia trounced Sweden thanks to a hat-trick
In a Nations League match in Belgrade, Serbia trounced Sweden 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Serbia ‘s first three goals were scored by 28-year-old Fulham striker Mitrovic before Sasa Lukic added a fourth goal midway through the second half.
At the top of Group B4, Serbia and Norway are now tied on points,
but Serbia trails them on head-to-head record.

Mitrovic has now scored 49 goals in 75 appearances for his country.

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s hat-trick helped Serbia easily defeat Sweden 4-1 in their Nations League B Group 4 match on Saturday,
setting up a winner-takes-all matchup in their final game against Norway on Tuesday in Oslo.
Additionally Norway and Serbia are in first place with 10 points,
with the Norwegians leading after a 1-0 victory in Belgrade earlier in the year. Sweden needs to defeat Slovenia in Stockholm to avoid dropping to League C.
Just before halftime,
Basically Mitrovic gave them the lead by dodging the Swedish defence and heading in a corner. He was unstoppable.
Three minutes after the break,
he finished off his hat trick by slipping behind Daniel Sundgren and putting Vlahovic’s pass into the back of the net with his left foot.
The 28-year-old Mitrovic left the fight with a 49th international victory.
