Senegal booked a seat in the African Nations Cup final, for the second time in a row, after it managed to overcome the obstacle of Burkina Faso, with three goals to one, in the match that took place between them, today, Wednesday, at Ahmedou Ahidjo Stadium.

The Senegalese national team hat-trick was scored by Abdou Diallo in the 70th minute, Bamba Diang (76), and Sadio Mane (87), while Ibrahim Blati Toure scored Burkina Faso’s goal in the 82nd minute.

The first half did not live up to the required level, as opportunities were absent in front of the goal on both sides, and play was limited to the midfield, with a slight control of the Senegalese team.

After 6 minutes, the Senegalese team succeeded in adding the second goal, after great work by Mane, as he retrieved the ball on the outskirts of the operations area, after a mistake by defender Adobo, before penetrating and passing to his colleague, Bamba Diang, who consolidated the progress of the Teranga Lions.

Burkina Faso’s reaction did not delay this time, and came in the 82nd minute, when Daewoo received a pass on the outskirts of operations, from captain Bertrand Traore, before distributing it to his colleague Ibrahim Blati Toure, who shot directly in the net of Senegalese goalkeeper Edward Mendy.

And while everyone believed that Burkina Faso, on its way to returning in the result, Sarr led a lightning counterattack, in the 87th minute, before passing to Mane, who sped off very quickly, and was alone with the goalkeeper, then put the ball over his head, adding the third fatal goal.
