Senegal’s lions prey on Burkinabe horses and reach the African Nations final
Senegal booked a seat in the African Nations Cup final, for the second time in a row, after it managed to overcome the obstacle of Burkina Faso, with three goals to one, in the match that took place between them, today, Wednesday, at Ahmedou Ahidjo Stadium.
The Senegalese national team hat-trick was scored by Abdou Diallo in the 70th minute, Bamba Diang (76), and Sadio Mane (87), while Ibrahim Blati Toure scored Burkina Faso’s goal in the 82nd minute.
The first half did not live up to the required level, as opportunities were absent in front of the goal on both sides, and play was limited to the midfield, with a slight control of the Senegalese team.

The Senegalese team almost visited the Burkinabe net, in the 27th minute, if Amadou Diang’s header knew its way to the goal, as he turned a ball distributed by Cisse with a strong header, but it passed along the post.
While the Ethiopian referee, Malak Tesema, was preparing to blow the whistle at the end of the first half, Mane received a pass inside the area of operations and hit a powerful ball that the goalkeeper turned to the corner.
Then the referee announced a penalty kick in favor of the Senegal team, before retracting it after the intervention of the VAR.
