Turkey crosses Luxembourg with a double-Nations League
Today, Saturday, in the third round of group matches, Turkey won for the third time in the European Nations League,
defeating host Luxembourg 2-0, while the Faroe Islands team won for the first time in the continental competition, defeating Lithuania 2-1.
For the third level, this is the first.

Inter Milan’s Hakan Calhanoglu scored a penalty kick in the 37th minute to put Turkey ahead
and Fenerbahce striker Serdar Dorsun added a second goal in the 76th minute.
The victory extended Turkey’s advantage to nine points, while Luxembourg’s lead in second place was cut to six points.
Fyodor Cernawicz scored the game’s first goal in the sixth minute at Tursvolur Stadium,
but Filgormer Davidson equalised for the Faroe Islands with a penalty kick in the 20th minute,
and Jacob Andresen scored the game’s winning goal in the 45th minute.
The victory moved the Faroe Islands into third place with three points,
while Lithuania remained in last place with no points.
The start of the contest was signalled by the Portuguese referee.
