!Liverpool defeated Rangers handily
In the third round of the first group of the European Champions League on Tuesday evening, !Liverpool defeated its visiting Rangers (2-0) with a significant victory.

Liverpool’s two goals came from Trent Alexander-Arnold (7th minute goal) and Mohamed
Salah (52nd minute penalty kick).
Rangers continued to have no points in last place, while Liverpool increased their score to 6
points in second place, 3 points behind leaders Napoli, who defeated Ajax (6-1) at the same time.
Darwin Nunez of Uruguay was brought in as a spearhead in front of Mohamed Salah, Diogo
Jota, and Luis Diaz by Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp. In the midfield, Jordan Henderson
collaborated with Thiago Alcantara, and the back line was made up of Alexander Arnold,
Virgil van Dyck, Joel Matip, and Costas Tsimikas.
However, Rangers head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst used a 5-4-1 formation with the
defense line consisting of James Tavernier, Conor Goldson, Ben Davis, Leon King, and Borna
Parisic, as well as Malik Tillman and Ryan Kent on the wings, John Lundstram in the center,
and Stephen Davis. Alfredo Morelos was the only player in the lead at the stadium.
Salah entered the game from the right side and swiftly passed to Jota, who in turn threw the
ball over Davis’ head to Nunez, who stopped McGregor’s shot in the second minute.
In the seventh minute, Alexander Arnold scored his team’s first goal with a straight free kick
that went over the goalkeeper and into the net.
In the thirteenth minute, Diaz advanced the ball from the center of the fie
ld before launching a shot from the edge of the penalty area next to the far post. Two
minutes later, Salah received a pass from Nunez and directed a brilliant shot from McGregor
to keep the ball out of the net.
