A brace from Mbappé gave France victory over Denmark in Qatar 2022
The PSG star made the difference with his goals in the second half and put his team through to the round of 16.
The French team , with a brace from Kylian Mbappe , beat Denmark 2-1 and qualified for the Round of 16 after achieving their second win in as many outings in group D of the Qatar 2022 World Cup .
In the first half, the successive attacks by the world champion failed to break Denmark’s defense in the second game for both teams.
Didier Deschamps ‘s team , with a very direct and vertical game, had more chances than the Scandinavians, but they lacked accuracy in the last shot in a match in which they became the first team to qualify for the round of 16.
Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmaichel stepped in twice, to save a fine header from Adrien Rabiot and a less dangerous shot from Antoine Griezmann .
