In the early stages of the match, City created several dangerous opportunities to score, including a shot from outside the area by Alvarez in the second minute, which was caught by Fabianski. Mahrez and Grealish also had opportunities to score in the 9th and 30th minute, respectively, but both of their shots hit the post.
