Real Madrid moved one step closer to the LaLiga title with a 3-1 win at Osasuna.

After a slow start on Sunday, Madrid needed a stunning comeback to beat Sevilla 3-2,

but they were quick out of the blocks at El Sadar,

After Benzema saw two penalties saved by Sergio Herrera, Marco Asensio restored Madrid’s lead in the 45th minute.

Madrid moved 17 points clear of Atletico Madrid, with Sevilla and Barcelona also in action on Thursday,

against Levante and Real Sociedad, respectively.

In the opening exchanges, Rodrygo forced a fine Herrera save with a long-range effort, but Madrid were quickly ahead.

Asensio and Dani Ceballos combined for a quick free-kick that found space for Benzema, who squared for Alaba,

who fortuitously bundled home on the rebound of a Herrera reflex save.

Chimy Avila zipped over from the right for Budimir to tap-in a minute later for Osasuna.

Asensio pounced on Ceballos’ saved close-range effort to put Madrid back in front,

before Thibaut Courtois stopped a flying Budimir header after the break.

When Avila attempted to stop Rodrygo, he handled,

giving Madrid a penalty, which Herrera saved against Benzema.

After Rodrygo was felled by Nacho Vidal, Benzema aimed for the same bottom-left corner, with Herrera guessing correctly once more.

Vinicius Junior then rolled wide on the counter before teeing up Vazquez,

who sealed the victory with a finish into the bottom-left corner.
