Eddie Nketiah leads Arsenal to an exciting derby win against Manchester United

Arsenal snatched a valuable victory against its guest Manchester United (3-2), on Sunday evening, at the Emirates Stadium, in the twenty-first round of the English Premier League.

Arsenal’s goals were scored by Eddie Nketiah (24 and 90) and Bukayo Saka (53), while Marcus Rashford (17) and Leandro Martinez (59) scored Manchester United’s goals.

Arsenal raised its score in the lead to 50 points and has a postponed match, by 5 points against the second Manchester City, and 11 points against Manchester United, who ranks fourth with 39 points, with a goal difference behind Newcastle United.

Arsenal started the match attacking, as Odegaard got a pass from Martinelli, to fire a shot that bounced off defender Lisandro Martinez in the second minute.

A minute later, Barty picked up a low cross from Xhaka, but his left shot went far from the goal.

Martinelli got the required space on the left side, before hitting his right ball, over Manchester United’s goal in the ninth minute.

Manchester United managed to open the scoring in the seventeenth minute, when Rashford received the ball from his teammate Bruno Fernandez, to advance and dribble, before hitting it hard to the left of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal tried to equalize the score quickly, Saka dodged his sergeant Luke Shaw, before directing the ball to Xhaka, and the latter prepared it for Nketiah, whose ball rebounded from the defense and crossed the goal in the 21st minute, and one minute later, Saka passed to Martinelli, whose shot missed the net.

Arsenal managed to equalize the score in the 24th minute, after Xhaka lifted a cross in front of the goal, Nketiah raised it elegantly before planting it in the net.

Manchester United winger Anthony passed the ball to McTominay, who directed an ambitious shot from the outskirts of the penalty area. Ramsdale shone in banishing its danger in the 28th minute.

Arsenal besieged its guest at home in the last quarter of the hour of the first half, without threatening the goal until stoppage time, when Oleksandr Zinchenko’s shot went wide before Saka followed with a shot that rebounded from Shaw and bounced into the hands of goalkeeper De Gea.

Arsenal made a substitution between the two halves, through which Takehiro Tomiyasu entered the place of Ben White, so the substitute managed to make the goal of progress when he passed to Saka, who in turn fired a low, long-range shot, which settled to the left of the Spanish goalkeeper in the 53rd minute.

Rashford penetrated the Arsenal defense, bypassing two players, before hitting the ball towards the goal, but goalkeeper Ramsdale shone in protecting his own goal in the 55th minute.

Manchester United did not take long before achieving the equalizer, as goalkeeper Ramsdale failed to control a corner kick carried out by Danish Christian Eriksen, and the ball reached Argentine Martinez, who followed it with his head into the goal, despite attempts by Brazilian Gabriel Magalhaes to clear it.

Saka almost scored a second goal in the same way as his first goal, when he penetrated from the right to shoot with his left foot, but the ball rebounded this time from the far post in the 70th minute.

Fred entered the Manchester United squad in place of Anthony, and Rashford demanded a penalty kick after a joint game with Arsenal defender William Saliba, but the referee ordered to continue playing.

Arsenal introduced its new player, Leandro Trossard, to replace Martinelli, and goalkeeper De Gea shone in blocking a close attempt from Nikitiah in the 84th minute.

But Arsenal managed to win in the last minute when Zinchenko sent a cross crawling from the left, and it reached Odegaard, who fired it, to be followed by Nketiah with a technical glance into the net.
