The Celeste team’s quartet was scored by Rodrigo Bentancur (1st), Giorgian de Arrascaeta (23rd), Edinson Cavani (45th), and Luis Suarez with a penalty kick (53rd).
Venezuela’s only goal was scored by Joseph Martinez (65th S).
The victory is the second in a row for Uruguay after 4 consecutive defeats, to wake up the team in time.
Uruguay took advantage of Peru’s positive draw against Ecuador, with a goal for the same, to ascend to fourth place, which qualifies its owner directly to the World Cup.
