Getafe had a little more control of the ball and made more successful attempts to get behind the defence in the second half

The Slovenian had a quiet first half in goal. The best opportunity for the hosts came late in the half when Borja Mayoral’s first-time effort rattled off the crossbar.

scored twice as Atletico Madrid opened their LaLiga season with a resounding victory against Getafe.
