Sevilla! strugglers are victorious after a hard-fought victory
Sevilla! bolstered their Champions League aspirations with a win over Levante thanks to two goals from Jesus Corona and a late goal from Jules Kounde.
Jesus Corona headed home Lucas Ocampo’s cross in the 14th minute to give the visitors the lead.
Five minutes later, Levante equalised from the penalty spot after the VAR determined Diego Carlos had handled in the area.
Jose Luis Morales’ spot kick landed in the bottom right corner.
so in LaLiga Corona restored Sevilla’s lead in the 27th minute with his second goal.
Ocampo was the supplier once more, this time with a cross that Corona pushed home from close range.
After Marcos Acuna pulled down Nemanja Radoja in the box, Levante were awarded a second penalty.
Morales, on the other hand, missed a penalty, and Sevilla added a third with a Jules Kounde header a few minutes later.
The strike by Roberto Soldado set up a tense finish, but Sevilla held on for a crucial win.
On the ‘Ciutat de València’ pitch, a lot was at risk, and both teams were quick to show their cards. Levante played a containment game,
relying on Morales’ overflow as their major attacking reason, while Sevilla took control and played to the left,
where Mexican Jess Manuel Corona caused problems for the local defenders.
With a luxury companion, the Argentine Ocampos,
who returned to the team, the Mexican would be the major protagonist of the first half.
