Man United triumphs over Brentford, putting an end to their rivalry.

Manchester United defeated its guest Brentford, 1/0 this evening, Wednesday, in the match hosted by Old Trafford, which was postponed from the 25th round of the English Premier League.

Manchester United’s only goal was scored by Marcus Rashford in the 27th minute.

With that result, Manchester United raised its score to 53 points in fourth place, while Brentford’s balance froze at 43 points in ninth place.

United had failed to win in the last 3 Premier League rounds.

The first attempt in the match came in favor of United in the 18th minute, when Sabitzer executed a foul from the edge of the area, hitting a direct ball that hit the human wall and went over the crossbar.

United almost opened the scoring in the 21st minute, after Anthony sent a cross to McTominay at the border of the area, and the latter hit a direct ball that went just above the crossbar.

Anthony tried to surprise Raya with a curved shot from the edge of the area in the 24th minute, but his ball passed just past the post.

Manchester United opened the scoring in the 27th minute after Anthony crossed into the area, and Sabitzer followed it up with a header pass to Rashford next to him, who in turn hit a powerful ball into the net.

United returned to try again in the 37th minute, with Anthony’s cross follow-up from Rashford on the border of the area, to hit a ball directly at the bird, which passed next to the post.

Anthony appeared after that in the 39th minute, with a curved shot from inside the area, which passed next to the post.

In the 44th minute, Rashford received a pass from Anthony inside the area, to hit a powerful ground ball, which Raya caught.

In a rare offensive appearance for Brentford, Tony crossed in the 45th minute, hitting a header that went over the crossbar, to end the first half with United advancing (1-0).

De Gea made a big mistake trying to clear a ball in the 49th minute inside the area, to hit Tony and pass next to the post.

United posed its first danger in the second half, with a shot from Anthony from outside the area in the 56th minute, which passed next to the post.

Sabitzer followed him with a shot from the edge of the area in the 58th minute, which Raya caught easily.

Brentford wasted a real opportunity to adjust the score in the 67th minute, through substitute Shayed Bafaran, who singled out Bad Khia and hit the Spanish goalkeeper’s brilliance in the tackle.

Brentford returned to try in the 73rd minute, with a shot from da Silva from outside the area, which passed next to the post.

After a period of attacking calm for United, Anthony hit a ball from outside the area in the 79th minute, which went wide of the goal.

United almost killed the match in the 80th minute, after kicking off from Rashford on the left side, after which they paved the ball for Fred inside the area, who in turn hit a ball that strangely went over the crossbar.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Hickey hit a powerful ball from outside the area, which passed next to the post, and the match ended with United winning (1-0).
