Mendy surprises Chelsea fans!
Edouard Mendy, Senegal’s goalkeeper, expressed his happiness at winning the African Nations Cup for the first time in history.
The Senegalese goalkeeper revealed that his victory in the African Championship is many times his happiness by winning the Champions League with Chelsea.
It is noteworthy that Senegal won the tournament after defeating its Egyptian counterpart in the final of the African Nations Cup on penalties last month, and won the tournament for the first time in its history.
“I said before that the feeling of winning the African Nations Cup was stronger than the feeling of winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021,” Mendy said in his interview with the French magazine On’s.
The Chelsea goalkeeper added, “Some people disagree with me. But no one can explain how I feel, I won the African Nations Cup and the Champions League, so I can explain.”
He explained, “Of course, there is a difference, I felt a special chill when I won the African Nations Cup ten times more than I felt when I won the Champions League, this is my feeling, this is what really happened.”
