Paris Saint-Germain fell in front of its host, Lens, (1-3), this evening, Sunday, at the “Boulert Delice” stadium, in the top of the 17th round of the French League.

Lance’s hat-trick, Pirzemislav Frankowski, Louis Obenda, and Alexis Claude Morris scored in the 5th, 28th, and 48th minutes, while Hugo Iketiki scored Paris’s only goal in the 8th minute.

The Parisian giant suffered its first loss this season, but remained in the lead with 44 points, while Lance narrowed the gap, raising its tally to 40 points in second place.

The Parisian team was affected by the absence of the Brazilian attacking stars Neymar and Argentine Lionel Messi, and the trio of Mbappe, Ikikiki, and Carlos Soler was not as strong.

St. Germain coach Christophe Galtier also made several adjustments to the starting line-up and player positions, including Ashraf Hakimi as a left-back.

On the other hand, the Lens players performed the meeting with great enthusiasm, and took advantage of the technical gaps, helped by the early goal scored by Pirzymyslav Frankowski.

The Parisian response came quickly, with a goal scored by Hugo Iketiki, after a team effort between Soler and right-back Nordi Mokelle, to equalize Saint-Germain.

However, the Lens team was more focused and fierce, especially in the first minutes of each half, as it added the second goal through “Obinda” after a pass from Fofana.

PSG tried to adjust the score again, but there were no chances for Mbappe, while attempts were limited to long shots from Hakimi and Fabian Ruiz.

His two clubs tried to revitalize the ranks, as he included Vitinha and Sarabia in place of Fabian Ruiz and Danilo, then Ziri Emery and Ismail Al Gharbi participated in the place of Iketiki and Soler.

However, the Lens team managed to hold out defensively, and closed all the outlets leading to its own goal, and goalkeeper Brice Samba saved a goal after a header from Vitinia.

Lance took advantage of a counterattack, and an elaborate pass from Luis Obenda, the star of the match, to Alexis Claude Morris, to score a third goal after tampering with Marquinhos.

Lens coach Frank Heisey took advantage of the absence of Paris Saint-Germain and controlled the course of the match to give his team a well-deserved victory against the defending champions.
