The Turkish national team came from behind with a goal against its host, the Armenian national team, to a victory (1-2), today, Saturday, in the first round of Group D in the European Football Championship qualifiers, which will be held next summer in Germany.

The Armenian national team advanced through a goal scored by Ozan Kabak, the Turkish national team player, by mistake in his own goal in the (10th) minute, but Orkon Cocu scored the equalizing goal for Turkey in the (34th) minute.

In the (64th) minute, Karim Akturkoglu scored the second goal for the Turkish national team.

The first-round matches will resume in the fourth group, with a match to be held later today, Saturday, between Croatia and Wales. The group also includes the Latvian national team, which will start its qualifiers in the next round by facing its Welsh host next Tuesday.
