Real Madrid took control of their Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea with a 3-1 victory at Stamford Bridge thanks to a stunning hat-trick from Karim Benzema.

Benzema scored two brilliant headers in the first half, and while Kai Havertz drew one back for Chelsea with a header of his own before half-time, Benzema made it 3-1 early in the second half by capitalising on an Edouard Mendy blunder.

It was an incredibly entertaining and open game in west London, but the Blues still have a lot of work to do in Madrid next week if they want to advance to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
