Arsenal settles the derby and soars to the top of the Premier League

Arsenal decided the North London derby by defeating its host, Tottenham Hotspur, with two goals without a response, this evening, Sunday, in the match that was held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 20th round of the English Premier League.

Arsenal duo Hugo Lloris accidentally scored in his own net in the 14th minute and Martin Odegaard in the 36th minute.

With that result, Arsenal strengthened its lead in the standings table, after raising its score to 47 points, while Spurs’ balance froze at 33 points in fifth place.

Arsenal missed a real opportunity to open the scoring in the seventh minute after Lenglet missed the ball, so Martinelli killed it and passed it to Nketiah inside the area, who singled Loris and hit the French goalkeeper’s ball in response.

Partey rose to cross from a violation committed by Odegaard in the 11th minute, hitting a header that went over the crossbar.

Arsenal opened the scoring in the 14th minute, after a kick off from Saka on the right side, sending a cross that Lloris mishandled it into the net.

Tottenham almost scored the equalizing goal quickly in the 18th minute, after Son Bennett received inside the area from Sessegnon, and Winfred Bramsdale, hitting a powerful ball that the goalkeeper shone in tackling it.

Arsenal tried to add the second goal in the 22nd minute, with a powerful shot from Odegaard from the edge of the area, which was blocked by Loris.

Barty fired a missile at the bird from the region’s borders in the 25th minute, and it hit the post.

Arsenal scored the second goal in the 36th minute, with a powerful ground shot from Odegaard from outside the penalty area that hit the net.

And in the third minute of stoppage time, Kane followed a cross with a header, and Ramsdale shone in removing it to a corner kick, so the first half ended with Arsenal advancing by two goals without a response.

Tottenham started the second half strongly, with an incursion from Kulusevski on the right side of the penalty area in the 49th minute, hitting a powerful ball that went over the crossbar.

Kane followed with a powerful shot from the edge of the area, Ramsdale shone in removing it to a corner kick.

Spurs wasted a real opportunity to adjust in the 52nd minute, after Kane sent a through ball to Sessegnon, who singled out Bramsdale, and hit a ground ball, which the goalkeeper shone again in tackling it.

Kulusevski returned to try, with a curved shot from the right side of the area in the 56th minute, which passed just past the post.

Nketiah responded with a ground shot from inside the area in the 58th minute, which went weak in the hands of Loris.

And again, Arsenal missed a real opportunity to add the third goal, after Xhaka sent a distinguished through ball to Nikitah inside the area, to separate Loris and hit a ball that was blocked by the French goalkeeper in the 70th minute.

And Arsenal got a violation at the border of the area in the 79th minute, which Xhaka executed with a direct shot that went wide of the goal.

Spurs almost narrowed the difference in the 83rd minute, with a ground shot from substitute Richarlison from inside the area, which Ramsdale caught.
