Benfica put forward in the quarter-finals of the European Champions

Benfica, Portugal, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after defeating its Belgian host Club Brugge (2-0) on Wednesday evening, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the competition.

Benfica advanced with a goal scored by Joao Mario from a penalty kick in the 51st minute before his colleague David Neres added the second goal in the 88th minute of the match.

The two teams will meet in the second leg of the final price of the continental championship on March 7 at Benfica Stadium.
