Inter Milan defeated its guest, Napoli, with a goal without a response, in the match that brought them together today, Wednesday, at the San Siro Stadium, in the 16th round of the Italian League.
Edin Dzeko scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute, as Napoli suffered their first defeat this season in the Serie A.
Inter Milan raised its score to 33 points in fourth place, while Napoli’s balance froze at 41 points at the top of the standings.
The third minute witnessed the first threat from Inter, after a longitudinal ball, Lukaku almost scored the goal of Naples, had it not been for the decisive intervention of defender Kim Min-Jae, so goalkeeper Merritt quickly got out of his goal and caught the ball.

Inter players continued to miss opportunities, and in the 25th minute, Lukaku broke free from the right, passing a cross to Dzeko, who paved it nicely to Darmian, who shot it over the crossbar.
And there was a new opportunity for Inter Milan in the 40th minute, after Lukaku received the ball and penetrated into the area, and fired a powerful shot that passed over the crossbar.
The 44th minute witnessed the first opportunity for Napoli, after a cross from the right from Di Lorenzo into the area, to be met by Anguisa with a shot that passed near the post.
Napoli almost snatched the lead in the 51st minute, as Kvaratsikhilia passed to Zelinski, and the latter sent a cross that Osimhen tried to receive, but Calhangulu succeeded in booking the striker, so Onana came out and grabbed the ball.
And from a quick counterattack, Inter Milan scored its first goal in the 56th minute, after a long ball from Mkhitaryan through the middle of the field to Dimarco on the left side, so that the defender penetrated and passed an elaborate cross that Dzeko met with a missile header into the Merritt net.
Kvaratsikhilia tried to rely on himself in order to adjust the score for the South team, and in the 61st minute, he tried to pass through the Inter defenders to fire a missile, but it hit the side window of the goal.
In the 64th minute, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi pushed Lautaro Martinez and Gossens to replace Lukaku and Dimarco, while coach Spalletti pushed Lozano and Raspadori to replace Zelensky and Politano.
In the 90th minute, Napoli almost equalized the score after Inter’s defense failed to disperse the ball, to reach Rasbadori, who fired a missile from inside the area, but Onana shone and pushed the ball away with his fist to save Inter from a goal, and the match ended with the victory of the hosts.
