Football world mourns tragic death of two players in Ukraine
The football world is in mourning after two young Ukrainian footballers were reported to have perished in Ukraine’s valiant fight against Russia’s invasion.
Following reports of Vitalii Sapylo’s and Dmytro Martynenko’s deaths in Ukraine.

They went to social media on Wednesday to express their condolences to their families.
Sapylo played for Karpaty Lviv‘s youth team.
He had enlisted in the army as a tank commander to defend his country from Russian incursions.
The 21-year-old reportedly died “in combat with Russian forces defending Kiev“.
Martynenko played for FC Gostomel.
The 25-year-old died after a Russian bombing of his home.
