Manchester United stumbled, drawing at home to Leeds United (2-2), this evening, Wednesday, in a postponed match from the eighth round of the English Premier League.
Leeds scored Wilfried Genonto in the first minute and Manchester United defender Raphael Varane (48 by mistake), while Marcus Rashford (62) and Jadon Sancho (70) scored the goals of the Red Devils.
Manchester United remained third despite the tie with 43 points, while Leeds United raised its score to 19 points in the sixteenth place.

Leeds surprised its host with a quick goal in the first minute, when Genonto exchanged the ball with Bamford before the first fired a creeping shot, which settled to the right of goalkeeper David De Gea.
The injury forced Sinistera off the field, to be replaced by Crescencio Somerville in the eighth minute, and De Gea saved his own goal from Stroik’s header in the 11th minute.
Manchester United’s first response came in the 18th minute when Fernandez sent the ball towards Garnacho, who met it with a semi-volley shot wide of the goal.
Injuries continued to raid the Leeds squad, so Stroijk left the field after Rashford’s shot hit his face, and Junior Firpo entered his place.
Garnacho received a perfect through pass from Martinez and dodged goalkeeper Mesler before he shot, but defender Weber pushed the ball away before it crossed the goal line in the 27th minute.
Sabitzer prepared the ball for himself before he shot from outside the penalty area, but goalkeeper Mesler flew in to save the shot in the 31st minute.
United tried to adjust the score before the end of the first half, but it collided with a tight defense from Leeds, and a corner kick caused a trail in the Leeds penalty area, before the ball reached Farid, who slipped as he shot, so that his ball went away from the goal in stoppage time.
Farran’s gift
And just 3 minutes after the start of the second half, Leeds increased their lead with a second goal, when the ball reached Somerville on the left side, and he sent a low cross, which bounced off Varane’s foot and entered the goal from a narrow corner.
Ten Hag revived his team’s attack, by involving Jadon Sancho and Facundo Pellestri in place of Vighurst and Garnacho.
United managed to reduce the score in the 62nd minute, when Rashford rose to a cross from Dalot, to head the ball into the net.
And Leeds almost regained the two-goal difference in the 65th minute, when the referee awarded him a free kick, which was executed by substitute Aronson, but his ball bounced off the post.
United return
Manchester United returned to the atmosphere of the match with the goal of equalizing in the 70th minute when Shaw’s cross rebounded from the defense, and the ball reached Sancho, who hit it with his right hand in the goal.
The home team continued to search for the winning goal, but goalkeeper Mesler brilliantly blocked Varane’s header, following a cross from Fernandez in the 78th minute.
Mesler returned to prove his presence in the 87th minute when he removed a dangerous free kick that Fernandez executed toward Rashford.
