Manchester United hits Reading with a hat-trick

Manchester United defeated its guest, Reading, 3-1, on Saturday evening, to qualify for the round of sixteen in the FA Cup.

Manchester United took the lead through Casemiro in the 54th minute, before the same player added the second goal in the 58th minute.

In the 66th minute, Farid scored the third goal for Manchester United, while Amadou Salif Mbenge scored the only goal for Reading in the 72nd minute.

Manchester United tried to advance early, and the referee awarded him a direct free kick, which Eriksen executed next to the far post in the eighth minute.

Rashford’s free-kick was saved by the Reading keeper, and moments later another Eriksen shot failed to find the net in the 14th minute.

Anthony penetrated from the wing to the right, before hitting a ball that passed by the goal in the 17th minute, and Fernandez’s shot went wide.

Manchester United scored a goal in the 35th minute when Rashford followed a vertical pass into the net, but video technology canceled the goal due to offside.

Manchester United fans demanded a penalty kick in the 41st minute after Casemiro fell, but the referee ordered her to continue playing after using video technology.

United opened the scoring in the 54th minute, via Casemiro, who received a pass from his compatriot Anthony, to elegantly put the ball over the goalkeeper into the goal.

Only 4 minutes passed, until Casemiro added the second goal, when substitute Farid prepared the ball for him, to shoot from outside the penalty area, out of reach of the goalkeeper.

Reading suffered a heavy blow when its giant striker, Carroll, received a second yellow card, leaving the field sent off in the 65th minute.

United strengthened its lead with a third goal in the 66th minute, through Farid, who followed with the heel of his foot, a cross sent from the right by Fernandez.

Facundo Pellestri and Alejandro Garnacho entered the place of Rashford and Fernandez, and Garnacho wasted alone before Vighurst failed to follow the ball into the net.

The guest team was able to reduce the difference in the 72nd minute, through a header from substitute Mbengui with the help of his colleague Enes, the rhythm slowed down a bit and the match ended (3-1).
