Manchester United rises to the runner-up with a double against Leeds

Manchester United defeated Leeds (2-0), this evening, Sunday, at Elland Road, in the 23rd round of the English Premier League.

Manchester United scored the duo, Marcus Rashford in the 80th minute and Alejandro Garnacho in the 85th minute.

Manchester United raised its score to 46 points, rising to second place, while Leeds’ balance froze at 19 points in 17th place.

Leeds United started the match strongly when Bamford hit a ball that was saved by De Gea, and Summerville followed it up with a shot from inside the area, but it went over the crossbar.

Manchester United formed its first danger when Fernandez received a pass inside the area from Sancho, to hit a ball that went wide of the goal.

Eiling hit a ball from inside the area that went over the crossbar, then Fernandez hit, but his ball hit the defense and reached easily in the hands of the Leeds goalkeeper.

Leeds United almost opened the scoring, when Summerville received a through ball behind Malacia, to shoot a ball from inside the area, De Gea’s brilliance in stopping it.

Fernandez missed an opportunity after Weber missed the ball, when Bruno snatched it and hit a ball from inside the area, Millier excelled in pushing it to a corner.

From that corner, Shaw sent a cross, which hit Eiling and almost hit the net, but it passed next to the post to end the first half (0-0).

Leeds started the second half strongly, with a shot from Summerville, De Gea’s brilliance in tackling it, then McKinney followed by rising to a cross with a header that went over the crossbar.

And the early offensive awakening continued, with Harrison, the Leeds star, following a cross into the area, hitting a direct ball that passed next to the post.

Eiling followed a ball away from United’s defense on the border of the area, hitting a ball directly at the bird, which hit Shaw and passed just next to the post.

In United’s first attacking attempt in the second half, Dalot hit a powerful ball that hit the crossbar, then Fred followed with a shot that went just past the post.

And Leeds United returned to form the danger again with a shot from Nonto, which De Gea caught easily, then Eiling hit from inside the area, which De Gea saved.

Shaw made a mistake in returning the ball to Martinez, so Summerville killed it and hit a powerful ground ball from inside the area, the Spanish goalkeeper shone in stopping it.

Manchester United succeeded in opening the scoring, rising from Marcus Rashford to a cross from Luke Shaw, with a powerful header that hit the net.

Garnacho fired a coup de grace at Leeds by adding the second goal, when he hit the ball into the net, to end the match with Manchester United winning (2-0).
