Real Madrid hits Al-Hilal by five and crowns the Club World Cup

Real Madrid was crowned the Club World Cup champion, by defeating Al Hilal Saudi Arabia (5-3), this evening, Saturday, at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Sports Complex Stadium in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

Real Madrid’s goals were scored by Vinicius Junior in the two minutes (13, 69), Fede Valverde (18, 58), Karim Benzema (54), while Musa Mariga (26), and Lucien Vietto (63 and 79) scored for Al Hilal.

Real Madrid won the title for the fifth time in the history of its participation in the tournament.

The match started with pressure from Real Madrid, and Vinicius Junior translated it with the goal of taking the lead in the 13th minute, as he received a through pass from Karim Benzema in the depth of Al Hilal’s defense and hit a ground ball that passed from goalkeeper Abdullah Al Mayouf.

The response came quickly from Al Hilal in the 14th minute, with a shot from Vito from outside the area, which hit the right post of Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrey Lunin.

Fede Valverde, a Real Madrid midfielder, added the second goal in the 18th minute, with a missile shot from inside the penalty area, to the right of the disabled goalkeeper.

Al Hilal players demanded a penalty kick in the 21st minute after there was a handball on Alaba, Real Madrid defender, but the referee indicated that the game should be completed.

Al-Hilal striker Musa Marija succeeded in scoring the first goal, to reduce the difference for the Saudi team in the 26th minute. From a counterattack, Muhammad K anno passed a ball to Mariga, who launched from the middle of the field and hit a missile shot, which Lunin failed to counter.

Marega returned to hit a powerful ball that passed over Real Madrid’s goal in the 36th minute, to miss Al Hilal’s second goal.

At the start of the second half, Toni Kroos tried to surprise Al Hilal with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which passed over the Saudi team’s goal in the 46th minute.

Karim Benzema succeeded in adding Real Madrid’s third goal in the 54th minute, as he received a cross from the left side of his colleague Vinicius Junior and with one touch put the ball into the net.

Real Madrid continued to widen the difference with the fourth goal in the 58th minute, as Valverde received a cross from Dani Carvajal and then hit the Maouf net.

Luciano Vietto, the Al Hilal player, received a pass from Saud Abdel Hamid, deep in Real Madrid’s defense, and the Argentine hit a high-skilled ball over goalkeeper Andrei Lunin in the 63rd minute.

Vinicius Junior scored the fifth goal for Real Madrid in the 69th minute, as he took advantage of a ball sent by Danny Ceballos inside the penalty area, and hit the floor to the left of the defective goalkeeper.

Vito returned to score his second personal goal and the third for Al-Hilal in the 79th minute, as he received a pass from Michel and dodged the Meringue defense before putting the ball into Lunin’s net.

In the 81st minute, a new dangerous ball was prepared for Al-Hilal in front of Real Madrid, and after several shots from Michelle, then Vito, the ball reached Marija, who was free of control, but the Malian striker strangely shot outside the goal, wasting the chances of scoring the fourth.

Al-Merenji continued to control the remaining minutes of the match, to be crowned the title from Moroccan territory.
