Argentine star Lionel Messi won the Best Player award at the World Cup in Qatar, today, Sunday, after his strong contribution to crowning his country with the World Cup title, for the third time in its history.
The Argentine national team won the title, by defeating France (4-2) in a penalty shootout, after the end of the original and extra time with a draw (3-3).
Messi scored two goals in the final, in addition to 5 other goals throughout the tournament, to occupy second place in the scorers’ ranking, and to be crowned the best player in the World Cup.
And the “flea” succeeded in visiting the net, in all the roles of the current version of the World Cup.
Messi scored during the group stage against Saudi Arabia and Mexico, then scored in the final price against Australia, and in the quarter-final against the Netherlands, before hitting Croatia in the semi-final.
The Argentine midfielder, Enzo Fernandez, won the Best Young Player award in the 2022 World Cup.
