Jose Mourinho, coach of Rome, appeared angry after his team lost away from home (0-1) at the hands of Austrian Salzburg, today, Thursday, in the first leg of the knockout round that qualifies for the final price of the European League.

In statements to Sky Italia, Mourinho said, “This is football, and this is what we say in these situations. You must score goals.”

The Giallorossi players missed an abundance of opportunities, as well as the crossbar’s response from Brian Cristante before the landlords scored a goal in the fatal time.

On this, the Portuguese coach said, “It should not have happened, but it did, despite our control of the match.”

Mourinho pointed to the goalscoring opportunities his team missed, adding, “We had a clear penalty kick in the first half, but we were not lucky enough to get it.”
