Crystal Palace stopped Manchester United’s winning streak with a deadly last-minute draw, with a goal for each team, today, Wednesday, in a postponed match from the seventh round of the English Premier League.
Bruno Fernandes was the first to score for Manchester United with a goal in the 44th minute before Michel Oles scored the equalizing goal for the home side in the 90 + 1 minute.
With this result, Man United remained in third place with 39 points, lagging behind Manchester City on goal difference, while Palace reached the 23rd point in 12th place.
Man United pressed from the start on the hosts, hoping to snatch an early goal, which was almost achieved in the first 10 minutes through Marcus Rashford, who missed a lonely one very strangely after hitting a weak ball into the arms of goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.
A few minutes later, Luke Shaw tried his luck with a powerful shot from the left side, which passed by the post.
Anthony received a longitudinal through-pass that reached him inside the Palace penalty area, giving him the opportunity to put a dropped ball while Guaita advanced outside his goal, but the ball hit the net from outside.
Figurst appeared for the first time with a real threat to the London team’s goal, after he rose to cross from the left side, to meet it with a header over the crossbar, before Bruno Fernandez tried his luck with a long shot, which missed the goal.
Rashford had an opportunity to score from a free kick near the penalty area, but his shot went wide of the post.
