Real Madrid returned to the path of victories, by defeating its guest Valencia (2-0) this evening, Thursday, in a postponed match for the 17th round of La Liga, at the Santiago Bernabeu.
And he scored for the Meringue: Marco Asensio and Vinicius Junior (52 and 55).
Real Madrid had tied goallessly with Real Sociedad, in its last match in La Liga before meeting the bat.
With this victory, the royal team raised its score to 45 points, in second place in the La Liga table, 5 points behind leaders Barcelona, while Valencia froze at 20 points, in 14th place.
Asensio almost snatched the lead for Real Madrid, in the 19th minute, as Benzema passed him a through ball with his heel inside the penalty area, and the Spaniard aimed at the net had it not been for the fatality of one of the Valencia defenders, who turned the ball into a corner.
The Brazilian defender of Real Madrid, Eder Militao, suffered a muscle injury during his collision with Samo Lino, the Valencia player, and indicated his inability to complete the game, so he went out and replaced Danny Carvajal in the 36th minute.

And after just 3 minutes, Vinicius Junior scored Real Madrid’s second goal, as he received a ball from Benzema and launched with an individual effort, before shooting to the bottom left of the goalkeeper.
Benzema asked to leave the field, in the 61st minute, to be replaced by Rodrigo.
The Frenchman did not go to the bench, but went directly to the dressing room, amid questions from the fans present.
Gabriel Paulista, the Valencia player, intervened forcefully on Vinicius Junior, prompting the match referee to show a direct red card in his face, in the 72nd minute.
The referee awarded a direct free kick to Real Madrid, on the edge of the penalty area, and Rodrigo executed it forcefully, but Mamardashvili shone and turned it into a corner in the 90th minute before the match ended with the victory of the hosts (2-0).
