Liverpool fell again, by being defeated by Wolverhampton (0-3) on Saturday evening, within the 22nd round of the English Premier League.
The goals of the meeting were scored by Liverpool defender Joel Matip (5 by mistake), Craig Dawson (12), and Ruben Neves (71).
Wolverhampton’s balance rose to 20 points in fifteenth place, while Liverpool settled in tenth place with 29 points.
Fatal mistake
Wolverhampton’s noisy start resulted in an early goal in the fifth minute, when Hwang caught up to Nunez’s pass, before directing a cross that was rebounded by Matip and hit the post before crossing the goal line.
And soon the hosts added the second goal in the 12th minute, through their new player Dawson, who followed the ball into the net after a rebound shot from the defense through Kilman.
Liverpool tried to respond quickly, in the 14th minute, Thiago played a through pass, and Nunez caught up with him and faced the goal, but goalkeeper Jose Sa blocked his attempt.
Salah received a pass from his Guinean colleague Keita and prepared the ball before he shot it with his left over the goal in the 20th minute.
Wolverhampton almost scored the third goal in the 27th minute, when Nunez snatched the ball, taking advantage of Matip’s slowdown, to face goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who saved his attempt.
And Neves sent a cross from the right, Dawson rose to it, but his header went over the goal in the 30th minute, and Konya hit a minute later, in the place where the goalkeeper was standing.

Nunez’s cross did not find anyone to follow it against Wolverhampton in the 35th minute, and the injury forced Hwang to leave the field in the last minutes of the first half, to be replaced by Adama Traore.
Liverpool came close to reducing the score in the 50th minute, when Keita’s attempt near the defense rebounded, with Robertson trying to take advantage of the rebound, and Liverpool players demanded penalty kicks with a handball on Dawson, but the referee ordered to continue playing.
Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez entered the Wolverhampton lineup in place of Konya and Sarabia, and Jakopo took advantage of Dawson’s wrong pass to pass to Salah, whose shot went past the post in the 62nd minute.
Liverpool wasted an irreplaceable opportunity in the 67th minute when Alexander Arnold sent a long ball, which passed the defense and reached the single Nunez, who shot the body of the goalkeeper.
Reds surrender
Piasetic lost the ball in the middle of the field, so Moutinho passed to Traore, who in turn passed from the right towards Nevis so that the latter penetrated Liverpool’s crumbling defense and easily put the ball into the net unmolested in the 71st minute.
The last quarter of an hour passed, amid the surrender of Liverpool, who seemed unable to threaten the Sa goal, and substitute Harvey Elliott tried his luck with a shot from afar, which bounced off the defense in the 84th minute.
Jimenez acted recklessly when he singled out goalkeeper Alisson, so he tried to drop the ball over him, but the latter easily picked up the ball in the 88th minute.
