The Netherlands team strengthened its lead in the table of the fourth group standings in the first division of the group stage of the European Football Championship, after achieving a thrilling 2-1 victory over its host Wales, today, Wednesday, in the second round of the group, which witnessed a landslide victory for Belgium over its guest team. Poland, after beating him 6/1.

The Dutch team raised its score to 6 points, achieving the full mark so far, after achieving its second consecutive victory in the group, 3 points ahead of its closest rivals, Belgium, who outperformed the Polish team, third-placed, with the same balance, in direct confrontations. While the Wales team, which has recently qualified for the World Cup finals in Qatar this year, remained at the bottom of the standings without points, after losing its second match in the group.

At (Cardiff City) in the Welsh capital, the Netherlands advanced with a goal by Tyon Koopmieners in the 50th minute, but Reiss Norentin Davis scored the equalizer for Wales in the second minute of stoppage time.

Wales was not happy with their equalizer, after Fout Wechhorst gave the Netherlands the lead again, scoring the second goal in the fourth minute of lost time, to lead the orange team to snatch the three points.

In the other meeting that took place at the (King Baudouin) stadium in the Belgian capital, Brussels, the Belgium team recovered from the shock of its resounding 4-1 loss against its guest, the Netherlands, in the opening round, after achieving a landslide victory 6/1 over its guest, Poland.

The initiative came from the Polish team, who opened the scoring through its veteran star Robert Lewandowski in the 28th minute before the Belgian team equalized through Axel Witsel in the 42nd minute.
