Paris emerges from the dark tunnel with a triptych in Montpellier
Goals: Montpellier – Paris Saint_Germain – Played on 02/01/2023
Paris Saint-Germain restored the memory of victories in the French League, with an exciting victory over Montpellier, with a double without a response, on Wednesday evening, in the 21st round.
Fabian Ruiz, Lionel Messi, and Zaire Emery scored Saint-Germain’s goals in the 55th, 72nd, and 92nd minutes, while Arnaud Nordon scored Montpellier’s only goal in the 89th minute.
And the Parisian giant came out of the dark tunnel after stumbling with a loss and a draw in the past two rounds, raising its score to 51 points in the lead, while Montpellier’s balance froze at 20 points in 14th place.
PSG did not achieve victory easily, but rather faced great difficulty, and very bad luck in terms of injuries, missed opportunities, and canceled goals.
Saint-Germain almost scored early after a penalty kick awarded to veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, but Kylian Mbappe missed the kick twice after returning it, thanks to the brilliance of goalkeeper Benjamin Lacomte.
Within 10 minutes, the duo Mbappe and Ramos left the field due to muscle injuries, to take the place in Ikitiki and Renato Sanchez, to confuse the accounts of Christophe Galtier, coach of the Parisian team.
Galte was forced to return midfielder Danilo to the heart of the defense, to be next to Marquinhos, and Renato Sanchez completed the midfield next to Soler, Vitenia, and Fabian Ruiz.
