Manchester City returned with a valuable victory against its host, Crystal Palace (1-0), in the match that Selhurst Park hosted this evening, Saturday, in the 27th round of the English Premier League.

Manchester City’s only goal was scored by Erling Haaland from the penalty mark in the (78th) minute.

With that result, Manchester City raised its score to 61 points in second place, two points behind leaders Arsenal, while Crystal Palace’s balance froze at 27 points in 12th place.

City started the match strongly, with a shot on the bird from Rodrigo from inside the penalty area in the third minute, Guaita excelled in saving it.

Grealish followed him with a ground kick from the edge of the area in the fourth minute, which passed just past the post.

The match calmed down in the following minutes, with City lacking the ability to penetrate the Palace defense, so Akanji tried to break up the block with a shot from outside the area in the 26th minute, which went wide of the goal.

City wasted a real opportunity to open the scoring in the 28th minute, after Aki passed a magic ball to Halland inside the area, to hit a direct ball that went just above the crossbar.
